Here is another good reason to start living fit and get walking. You’ll lose weight! It has been consistently shown that walking is effective in burning calories and increasing metabolic rates. At the same time while all this is happening, you will lose weight.

This is a lot more fun than dieting! A study done at the University of Massachusetts Medical School found that walking most definitely helps you trim fat as well as tone up flabby muscles. During the study it was determined that walking four times a week for as little as 45 minutes each time, resulted in an average weight loss of 17 lbs. a year without any form of dietary changes. Imagine how much you could lose if you included a healthier eating habit.
